Last

This is これはわたしの 落 post. I am very sad that the year is ending, or at least the semester. I have not yet decided if I wil continue with Japanese or pursue fluency in Mandarin. I really wish that I could do both. If only there was a way that I could audit class, but this is not an option.

I think that if I decide to go with mandarin, then I will actually HAVE to go to the japanese chat clubs on fridays in order to maintain my conversation skills. In addition, I should continue to cross study japanese kanji meanings as I learn the characters for Chinese.

All of the podcasts that I viewed were amazing. Our class was amazing

Excied...

Fuyu no yaumi watashi no kazky nihon e ikimas. Watashi wa エキサイト ga arimas. Watashi mada nani o mote wakarimas. Samuii da to omoimas.

I am very proud of our movie as well. We finally finished it. I think I definately worked on the flow of my speech while maing the movie and at the same time I became an expert at Imove. Although it did take a lot of time a effort, we still got it done. If you would like ot view it, there is the link.

Titled Asian Children Walking

Why do i find this halarious? Does anyone else?

Im trying to fgure out the difference between counting in large numbers in japanese and counting in arg numbers in chinese. What's the difference. I used japanese sentance or number patterns to communicate a numbe rin mandarin and I got it wrong. Isn't it the same? the symbols are the same. How do you "say" 200,006.

QUESTION

I have a question?
How do you imply that you will do something. Not like you have the intention to do something oter known as 意志, but like "i hope that this food will be better next time!" or "Maybe next time you wil do better in the game."

I was talking to foreigner in japanese trying to give him advice on whicih restaurant on broadway would be the best, and wasnted to say "When your family comes, you will know the best places to eat" and didn't know how to sy it.
LOOKING at the film that ing dan bun created w have a lot of work to do. i think that we shoud reshot the whole first half and ad in transitions. The whole first half was bad because we didn't hve a propper camera. I actuall think our idea is kind of difficult to protray overall. The second half of the movie we need to work on outfits and sitting in the correct restauraunt. the owner of cafe swish would no let us film in the scripted location so we had todouble take in ollies. We have to work on a way to make the scene overal less complicated.

すみません がくせい, わたしたっち の えが will be better next time!

GREAT FIND

I found this really good japanaese english dictionary online. It in addition to the meaning and kana of the words, it gies the kanji as well. There are different uses for the words that you try to pick up, and they give them to you all. I have permenantly switched from using my textbook dictionary to using this online. No more radicals for now!

Goals and Expectations

I think that my main goal would be to establish a strong foundation. This sounds very cliche, but for me it actually is. Over the years I've learned volcabulary, sentence patterns, kanji and other things, but I continue to confuse particles and verb conjugations. This is an extreme signal that I am rusty at my basics.

In order to achieve this I think i should practice reading. This will also improve the quickness of my speaking. I can understand a lot more than I can speak, and when I do speak it tens to be realy slow. The pace at which I read hiragana, kanji, and katagana ia also very slow. Putting words together in Katagana is hard for me as well, but this takes practice.

My last goal would probably have to be not to confuse chinese with japanese. I am currently learning both and many times I get the characters confused. they are very similar, but used in dfferent ways.

I really am enjoying this class and I hope to get the best out of it!
